Valuable life lessons
« on: October 06, 2011, 06:21:16 PM »

I feel we need a new thread to provide unprompted advice to our fellow forum members. I know trucks has plenty to offer.

As an aside I'm looking for advice on how to become the most organised person I can be.

I'll get us started -

- when the Gloria Jeans girl/guy smiles and asks for your name, they aren't necessarily wanting you to start seducing them
- 25 year olds who look like 17 year olds don't work as checkout chicks, 17 year olds do.

Neil, it is the learning nothing at all that keeps me young.  But I will come back to this thread I promise.

 - Gloria Jeans is not Big Boy coffee.

Playing videogames that claim to be really realistic does not make you an expert on modern political or military issues.

You might have to make do with the self-service checkout for a little while, tiger.

- the ages of checkout chicks can be used as a measure of how ones mid life crisis is progressing without actually wanting to jump them

- if someone chucks a hissey fit and threatens to quit, it's possibly best to let them do it.

I think it's useful to make sure you're educated well beyond your own intelligence.  This makes up for your general lack of common sense.  If you're an ordinary person, you have none, or close to none.

No.

There is no "quite possibly" about it.

The answer is always "cool, catch you on teh flip side".

I hope Mez wasn't too offended by that comment.

Mr Myagi said "Do! There is no try!"

I disagree, first try and see if you can do!
If you can't, then either keep trying until you can do, or go do something else!
