The problem spreads much faster nowdays thanks to TV, phone, internets etc. I wonder if it makes parents are nervous about disciplining their kids properly for fear of being accused of something.

Parents can't even leave their kids in the car for 5 minutes while they go for a drink/atm etc anymore!

I've never heard of Hesiod, but I know Socrates deplored the state of youth in his day.

He did?  IIRC, he was convicted for, amongst other things, corrupting the youth.  I'm not sure he had anything particularly against young people.

It's all the rum they drink.  A nice upskirt photo there in that article - the photographer's tongue almost made it into the shot as well.

By copying the Americans, it seems.

Also, for all we know, Australia has a National Underwear day, but everyone keeps forgetting about it cause every day is the world/national day of something.

*chokes on cup of tea imagining all aussies in their undies all day*

When I lived in St Kilda and caught the train to work *pauses to remember the sadly departed St Kilda line* there was a guy who got on every day with a briefcase and shirt and tie and jockey underpants, socks and shoes - everything except the trousers. He would bury his head in the paper and talk to himself all the way. No one ever sat next to him even when it got really crowded.

After they pulled the tracks up and converted to light rail I never saw him again. But I love Melbourne because it's a place where people do things like that.

Well, I bet it was an interesting place. I was banned from it rather quickly I seem to recall - fines, endless fines.

I think it's best for all of us that our mums don't read this site. Bad enough I have to worry about my children reading it.   8-)

I am on the record as saying that Tony Abbot is a massive liability as the federal leader. He is an attack dog and is best used in that role if at all. His religious and ethical views run counter to everything that liberal and liberal minded people hold to be true.  He is a ideologically driven conservative zealot, not a Liberal.

The minute Robert Menzies attempted to ban the communist party, the liberal party ceased to be liberals and began its 50 year flirtation with conservative politics. Having said that, I am prepared to concede that fraiser government was a notable exception to this rule.

Tell her I've modified my will in order to return Tau Zero to the library after I die.  8-)

I was outraged when Malcolm Fraser took over leadership of the country from Gough Whitlam.  It's strange now, looking back and realising that Fraser was a genuine liberal and a real humanitarian; in fact, a very admirable man.

Didn't hold on to your rage?  It's Kerr's day, not Remembrance Day!
