Labor failure indictment AGAIN
« on: February 03, 2011, 06:30:23 PM »

Listen up Labour losers and left wing lunatics the flooding of Brisbane was caused in part by government mistakes. And another government mistake leaves taxpayers responsible for many of the bills:

Queensland is the only major state economy in Australia without a comprehensive insurance policy, leaving the government’s assets exposed in the face of natural disasters.

Unlike NSW, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia - whose governments pay millions of dollars in premiums a year to international insurance companies to protect their infrastructure - Queensland relies on a deal struck with the commonwealth to pick up 75 per cent of the recovery costs after a catastrophe.

As north Queensland braced for another battering, this time from Tropical Cyclone Yasi, The Australian confirmed that the state government has previously been approached to take out catastrophe insurance on the private market but declined to on the basis it was not “value for money”.

The Queensland Premier is a heroine at the moment for her handling of the flood and cyclone emergencies. But could the damage have been minimised and the cost to taxpayers lessened had she been a lot smarter beforehand? It seems that the flood levy is actually the price the rest of Australia must now pay for the Queensland Government’s mistakes.

You Labour people are scum, pathetic mindless scum.

And at least 40% of the NSW population will vote Labour again in 2 months time - how stupid.

What government was it that initially opted for not getting insurance from an international source? How long has this deal with the commonwealth been going on? How many liberal terms have been had in the time without change? Why is this purely a labor fuck up?

Oh, come on Books, Australia needs it's own New Orleans.  If the government hasn't fucked things up, we'll have to stretch the truth a little.

Ha, fool! Of course they have an insurance policy. It's a federal government backed telethon policy.
