The reason BB still exists in politics is due to the fact he can 'cut deals'. It's when you have people in the senate who are too dumb to cut deals that things go horribly wrong.
The Democrats cut many deals, and you can't exaclty say that things didn't go horribly wrong for them.

The simple fact is, the ineptitude of minority parties and independents are exposed when they are forced to make decisions. We've seen it with Harradine. We've seen it with Family First. We've seen it with Xenophon. And we'll see it with the Greens too.
