Labor are so worried about losing their seats to the Greens that they are suggesting the Greens make their preferences go to Liberal to scare the voters off voting Green. I don't think that will work, but nice try Brumby. As with the federal one my state electorate has always been a massive swing to Labor so again my vote will not count. I might go the Shooters Party. Or maybe Family First. I have no idea who is a candidate in my electorate this year and I really don't care seeing as the ALP will hold it no matter what happens.  :-(

I really hate it when politicians accost me at the train station when I'm on the way to work.

I hope this election goes away quickly

My workplace was taken over today for some media wankfest policy announcement.  I didn't hear what it was, but we did get a visit from the deputy premier.  I'm off to forage for leftover catering.

The present Labor government inherited a seriously fucked-up state after Kennett had finished totally raping it.  It has taken them a long time to even get near to where we were before that.  I look around Bendigo and see schools being built and hospitals upgraded and I know where MY vote is going - to the Greens.  :-)  Unless they give their preferences to the Libs, of course.

So, you didn't learn any lessons from the federal election shambles?

No.

IIRC, Ted Baillieu is a principal of Baillieu Knight Franks, one of the real estate companies that benefited greatly from Jeff Kennett selling off all the primary schools in Victoria so property developers could fill the land with cheap housing so people could live in the area as long as they didn't mind not having schools for their kids to go to.

Our own local primary school was one such.  Now it's a nice little housing estate, with NO schools within walking distance.

Nah, fuck the Libs.  They line their own pockets at the expense of taxpayers.

NO! We really don't need another one. First the Feds, then the AFL...

It would be funny if the hung parliament in the state election happened due to Greens (again) as both Lab and Libs are whinging that people are going to not vote for them and vote green. Here's a tip - stop whinging and actually DO SOMETHING!!!!

I believe Mez recently indicated she was in favor of governmental shambles in Vic. Clearly she is not alone.

I don't care about this election as my vote doesn't count. I need to move to a marginal seat for it to be worth something...

Things have to change.  Times of change are uncertain and unpopular but also, as the Chinese (or is it Irish?) curse implies, interesting.   8-)
