Gillard to play for the Western Bulldogs
« on: June 25, 2010, 10:28:06 AM »

Julia Gillard has now achieved the quinella.  She first had a triumphant selection for the Prime Ministership and now she is being picked up in a special mid-season draft with the Western Bulldogs.

Julia Gillard when asked about  becoming PM said that she had more chance of playing for the dogs than becoming PM.  It is believed Julia has since said she is relieved she didn’t say she had more chance of being rooted senseless by the entire back bench of the Labor party.

The dogs have welcomed Julia, affectionately  known as Ranga, to the side and she will add depth to the Bulldogs side as a feisty forward who will fill the gap left by the over achieving talker Jason Akermanis.  It is expected Julia will be a key target on the forward line with other players easily being able to find her due to her mop of red hair and ability to call for the ball in a loud strine dialect.

When coach Rodney Eade was asked whether Julia could achieve the kicking skills needed to play AFL at the elite level his response was “Well she managed to kick Kevin Rudd out of the Lodge.  Besides, who says you need to be able to kick a ball, just ask Israel Folau.”

In related news Wayne Swan was rejected by the mid-season draft as being too much of a girl’s blouse and there were concerns he would be bullied by the other players.
