Never liked this guy, now it turns out he's a regular at a gay sauna (with facilities for sex apparently), which in itself may not be much of an issue, but his very ill wife and two adult sons appear to have had no idea, and neither did the voters, who were led to believe he was a straight family man.

One also has to feel sorry for David Campbell, the founding member of the Pirate Party. Not a name you want at this time!

it's hardly as simple as that. This isn't a black and white issue, and I do feel very sorry for the guy or being forcibly outed. I can only assume that having your sexuality publically disclosed is something anyone who isn't quite ready to share it with anyone is a very traumatic thing, not to mention everyone that it affects, be it family or partners.

That said, I'd feel more sorry for him if he wasn't so fucking incompetent.

I don't think that the voters not knowing is particuarly an issue. It isn't a betrayal to his voters, just his family.

As I said, I can't possibly understand what David Campbell has lived with for a quarter of a century, but I doubt he was jumping for joy inside Kens glory hole maze. I also assume it isn't the easiest thing in the world to do, coming out.

As someone who has personally struggled with sexuality, that is definitely not the case. I would never get married or have kids if there was doubt in my mind.

Yes, coming out would not be easy, but this is not something that you just wake up and go..."Oh I'm gay", the fact is he cheated on his wife and was less than secretive about it. That's the issue, I don't care if he's gay or straight, the point is don't get married and cheat on your partner (without their knowledge obviously).

I'm sure it's not but that's no excuse for him. I fail to understand how coming out would be harder than living your life a lie and dragging a wife and kids into that for twenty years. This is not a public issue though and he shouldn't have been outed in this way.
