I agree with Wolfie - ban them where you would ban helmets or balaclavas (or hoodies), but banning them outright is just you imposing your own fascist views on other people.

Even I have been known to wear a headscarf.  Admittedly it was back in the 70s when a certain style of wearing them was in, but still.

And what about cancer patients?  Would you doom them all to wearing itchy, hot wigs?

90 percent of the kids in my year five class in London are Muslim. I have to teach RE and the topic this term is Islam. Have had to put up with the tsk tsks of the kids when I mispronounce certain retarded Islamic words like fajr and asr.

I agree with SG that burqas and hijabs should be banned. If there is no real prescription about what constitutes modest dress for men why should there be for women? I am all for freedom of religion as long as it doesn't interfere with peoples rights and doesn't involve the oppression of certain groups of people- women of Islamic faith are still horribly oppressed.

This marine was talking to his buddy about what they were going to do when they got home from Afghanistan.
