Thumbs down to Woolworths
« on: February 28, 2010, 07:55:18 PM »

I haven't been so offended since the Tip-Top "Good on you, Mum" campaign.

What's all this fucking shit about Fresh-food MUMS?  :x  What about fucking Fresh-food DADS?

I know I'm not normal (I'm a loveable eccentric) but I'm a mum and I don't cook!

So fuck you, Woolies!  Join the 21st century or do without my patronage!   :-P

Possibly this occured to them and they felt that losing a Mez or two was an acceptable sacrifice provided they retained an actual demographic of substance.

Yeah... What about all those Bunnings and whatever that car shop is that always goes on about having gifts for dads? Move to the 21st century, Mez and stop being such an old fuddy duddy. :P

The Bunnings ads are at least a bit entertaining, with all the random stuff they pick out to advertise.  I wonder how many people ran out to buy themselves a new iguana polishing kit or something because Bunnings advertised it on TV.

Yes I know, I'm so last century.

However, people my age are running the country and have the biggest income brackets, so I'd imagine Woolies would do well to heed my threats.

They think.  But I can just as easily go to Coles.  Or IGA.  No skin off MY nose.

What's ALL MY FAULT?  The way the country is being run?  I think not.  All our old leftie friends are now politicians, professors and heads of government departments, and they are NOT doing the better job of it that they said they would back in the 1970s.  So I blame them.

I don't even know the difference between Coles & Woolworths... Like neither of their marketing campaigns really work on me. I just got to whatever the one is closest...

True.

But with Coles, what if I don't love their shit.

E.G "You'll Love Coles...blah" Well, no, often I don't.

Hah!  Today I saw an ad for a business that boasted control over 33 million Australian voters.

Something like "You'll love Coles" sort of pales in comparison.   :|
