Nah, look at the options.  It's like an election except the reasons for the votes are given; I vote for Howard not because his electoral campaign was any good, but rather because I want Costello to be the next in line.  People vote for Rudd because he isn't Howard.

I.e- People vote for Mez because they actually love her or because they don't want to give either of us the satisfaction of a vote.
