2010 Reading Challenge!

I think I need a thread for this. So next year I am going to aim to read 100 books. Anyone else can join if you want with 100 or another number, or you can just count the books if you're interested to see how many you do read.

What are the guidelines though? Should I put like a rule on how man short books I can read or things like that? Although some books that are shorter are probably way better reading than things like Twilight so I don't know how you can measure that. Do they all need to be new or can I do rereads?

Re-reads count. Short books are entire books because they're still books. Anthologies count as how ever many whole books are in there (for instance, if you have an Austen one, it's six books because that's what it really is).

I'm in, 100 seems good enough :)

I will gladly join in, but I am going to have to read a ridiculous number of incredibly tedious, incredibly long books. Maybe I should just keep a tally of how many I read, and whinge about them at regular intervals.

Ooooh yes, I will count every single page I read this year  :lol: And my own word-count, of course.

And Vis, not everything I'll have to read will be boring, a lot of it will be about angry Christians getting pissed off about legal abortion and all sorts of fun things like that. Not to mention the chapter I'm writing on porn & Maslin's Beach. :-D

I have no idea how many I tend to read in a year, so I can't say how many I want to read this year as I don't know my average. Let's say 50 books.
