Don't worry, if I was sure Fadey had made an arse of himself I'd point that out.
I'm fairly certain I didn't make an arse of myself, although I have at other times.

I'd always stated that I'd thought I'd heard or read something somewhere or other, I never made any claims as to it being an absolute certainty.
SG is just being his usual cum-drinky self.
In any case, I believe the US law is appropriate.
For example, if you beat up your wife, then she will suffer physical and psychological pain etc, so the culprit should be charged with various offences and suffer whatever consequences it is decided are commessurate with the offence. But if a guy beats up his wife in exactly the same manner, and she suffers the exact same physical and psychological pain from the whackfest, but also suffers a miscarriage as a result, can anyone really suggest that her level of suffering is only identical the that of the first woman? Of course not. It's quite obvious that a greater offence has been committed, and I believe the law should reflect this. It should be obvious that the death of an unborn as a result of some other crime/tort adds to the level of the act that has occurred. At least, it's obvious to me.
No the same as giving unborn children rights and all that, just recognising something that should be obvious to anyone.
