DET Filter...why would they do this to me?

(1/10) > >>

alice j:
The Department of Education and Training, in their infinite wisdom, have introduced a web filter on all computers which the DET owns, or which use the DET portal. This is clearly part of their eventual plan to brainwash all school students into slavery or private schools. The system blocks all sites which contain general things like nudity, violence, forums, or online shopping. This is causing some young gentlemen to spontaneously combust due to the strain on their libidos, which would be bad enough. But the DET have also decided to block pages which they haven't gotten around to categorising yet.

Which really shits me. It's not fair!!

Wolfe Tone:
Whinger! We've had a much tighter internet system here since I came here in year 9. And I fucking live here.

My old school, a small town Catholic school had almost every website imaginable blocked, including Google.

Bookworm.:
I agree with wolfie. Stop you're fucking complaining. Webfilters are common and it makes no difference.

Also, how does having a filter force you into private schooling?

How is it not fair? Their computers, they can do what they like with them.

I also don't understand why you would need nudity, violence or online shopping whilst at school? Buy your dildo then use it to get off to bdsm porn in your own time.

Adi:
Every single school that I know of, public or private of any model, has a comprehensive web filter. Tis part of schooling. It comes under 'duty of care' guidelines at the school I work at. Get used to it!

Wolfe Tone:
Sorry, I forgot to mention, I'm Private, so don't bother coming here.
