Is this payback against the Chaser and the ABC?
« on: June 06, 2009, 10:37:05 PM »

Considering that shows like the Chaser and Media Watch have criticised and made fun of TT/ACA, Murdoch newspapers and talk back radio, is this payback?

Its no secret that TT/ACA, Alan Jones, Steve Price, Ray Hadley and especially the Australian newspaper hate the ABC with a passion.

Walking away from the Chaser like ABC management has is disgusting and weak.

Um, you think?  Hardly a new thing, it's just the scale that's changed.  And their success.

Right, well, as little as I think of Tracy's journalistic credentials, that kind of personal attack is just (to use KRudd's favourite moralistic judgement word) disgusting. Eugh. And then his PR chick tries to call it a joke. Sure.

The bit that makes me laugh the most is where someoneis quoted as saying that it goes too far because "the show is meant for families". If Gordon Ramsay's shows are family quality, then families these days need to be banned to think about their actions.

Well, so far this week we know that "families" (presumably of the working variety) watch the Chaser and Gordon Ramsey. I think Steve Fielding has his work cut out for him

It is pretty mean but she's a bitch so I don't really care. Someone also said in the paper that Ramsey's comments are offensive to all women......um how?

The feminists always get their knickers in a knot about likening women to animals.

Some people (myself included) are always annoyed when people use 'gay' or 'lesbian' as an insult, so that pissed me off more. I wasn't personally offended, but it does annoy me.

Oh please.....I'm sure they'd have no quandary calling Ramsey a pig in response to his comments.

Of course not. Angsty feminism pisses me off too.

Good point about Ramsay. The guy is a pathological, scumbag liar. Played for the Glasgow Rangers? Hardly. Yet he spun that story for years.

Yet the Chaser guys are evil incarnate.

I dont know why I'm surprised. I'm old enough to realise that the "masses" are complete idiots.

Those feminists need to shut up and go back to the kitchen to cook their husbands some pigs.

As for Ramsay, ever since he had that affair no one has liked him, or even mentioned him. Publicity stunt anyone?

If it's a publicity stunt, then it's a pretty petty one, and aimed solely at Australia (and a small portion even of Australia). I'm inclined to think he's just an arrogant bastard.

I'm not quite sure in what vein you meant your feminist comment, so I'm not going to say anything...
