I'm not sure he even makes a whole one. He doesn't seem all there ;)

Wow it's a little cult of personality in here, freedom of speech and discussion flies out the window for the old easy AD hominem. I'm saying the majority of Australian TV is crap and the chaser was something a bit different but now it seems to be losing it's edge by covering old ground and trying to find new ways to offend. I'm not saying I'm offended but I'm not so self indulgent that I can't have empathy for those who it does.

If you go back and look really closely, I did ask you why you thought it was crap. You can't just say it and then not give any support behind it. And it's weird about ad hominem attacks over the internet. I only know you from what you've told me. What you've told me is a part of your argument and thus attacking what I know about you seems is attacking your argument.

Anyway, it was a humourous turn of phrase. You'll get over it.

freedom of speech and discussion flies out the window

If you look at another thread, another new member has joined the forum and entered discussion, saying what you're trying to say in a more mature and intelligent manner. You on the other hand, are just hanging shit on The Chaser saying 'LOL TALENTLESS HACKS' it doesn't seem like you're open for discussion either...

freedom of speech flies out the window?
I don't recall you being censored from saying the chaser are shit, in fact it's quiet often said here,...

you can't seriously expect people on a chaser forum to be completely serious, and not play with their food.

Offending people is pretty lame entertainment to me as it says more about the entertainers lack of empathy and creativity than the offended's lack of light heartedness. Where do others sit on this subject? and why do you find it entertaining or funny?

you think they really hate dying kiddies? it's got nothing to with empathy... and its not like kiddies need zac effron (who the fuck)
and will be horrible tortured painfully by receiving a stick instead...
I don't think empathy comes into it here,.. it was making fun of the charity, I thought, not dying kiddies,...
which really, is not the most important charity in the world. its nice, but not important....

How can you not think that the publicity from this would not reach dying children. Do you think little kids understand satire and sarcasm, how naive to think it's about "the charity". It's the inadvertent ramifications of such offensive satire that the creators should be aware of, the audience gets the joke but thet way it's portrayed through the media was always going to lean towards the literal and they know that, otherwise they wouldn't follow it with that man typing criticism, they should be to blame for that, it's irresponsible and self serving.

Then it becomes the responsibility of the parents to moniter what their information their children are receiving. It could also be a good time for 'the talk' (not everything you read in the papers may be the absolute truth, there is often a lot of bias).

I agree it is the parents responsibility to monitor but prevention is better than cure and I think we shouldn't be precious about protecting the chaser, I believe they should apologise in some way for offending these children.

You have to be politically correct and never cross THE LINE...

Which of course is what The Chaser has always been about.

Why should they apologise for offending children?! It's not a children's show!
That's like Hi-5 apologising to parents because their show wasn't funny enough for them.
