I gave my mum a phone call.

Was that so she could call her lawyer from prison?

I have a problem with people saying their mother is the best. I mean subjectively they are but if I start going on to my friends oh my mother is the best rada rada I don't know it sounds a bit mean. Because most people think their mother is the best. My mother is amazing and *my* best mother but not the bestest ever. Just something that has always annoyed me for some reason...

I bought my mother some things but we didn't really do anything special, she didn't want to go out or anything.

Because most people think their mother is the best.

I am an exception to that rule.

I got my mum a plant, some native called THUNDERBOLT, and so stuck little pikachu figures in the pot, which she then gave back looking amused xD and brothers came over and we made delicious toasted sandwiches, and also gave her a grevillia (uhh spelling? some other native :P), which was called Strawberry Sundae (which sounds like the name of a MLP) and the expensive washing basket (that she wanted and asked for :P)

My children bought me one of those whizz-bang headlamps, with both white and red LED lights, adjustable down so I can read in the dark. *beams*

The cheap ones just shine straight ahead, which makes them useless for reading, or even seeing where you're going.

Then they made me stay in bed until 2pm so they could bring me "breakfast" in bed -- we don't do mornings in our house.  8-)

Then I had to get up, wash my hair, get dressed and be at work by 3pm.

And here I am -- we're finished, but I can't go home because -- well, just because!  Gruff.
