Yes, well I guess consumer demographics and corporate sponsorships are related. I mean, they're only sponsoring someone because they appeal to a certain demographic in any case, so the distinction isn't all that important I guess.
The point is, are there any homosexuals out there who aren't out there (i.e "lurking") because they are afraid of losing and/or not obtaining corporate sponsorship money? I, for one, am concerned about this potential lurking phenomenon, which may or may not be actually taking place.
The hypothesis is that since these lurkers are observing the case of poor Matt not being able to rake in the $$$s, in the same way that other slutchops and pot smokers can, are they actually denying that they are gay out of fear of losing money?
And are Ian Thorpe and Rafael Nadal some such lurkers?
My advice to Matt would be to take up muffdiving instead.
