If it installs, but then claims not to be able to fin the modem, change USB ports,..   they don't all get the same power on most laptops, so some ports will be able to read the flash drive, but not power the modem.

Um well my computer has decided to enlarge itself on me- what I'm trying to say is everything has zoomed in and is bigger therefore when I get on things like this forum the page is so big that I have to scroll across with the bar thingy down the bottom to see the full page. Anyone know how to restore it back to its original size??

Is your video card okay?

Go to your desktop, right click on it, select Properties. Click on Settings. Reduce your screen resolution.

Try "display" in the control panel.

That happened to me once, only the colour went wonky and the screen rotated itself as well.  Most annoyignly, the "apply" button in the window to change it back was in part of the screen I couldn't access, took me ages to fix.
