I love how he had to repeat the swearing in because the chief justice stuffed it up

And I love how even a small thing like that became a dems vs repubs thing...

R - lulz! Obama stuffed up!

D - Harr! It was the Bush appointed dude who said it wrong!

I'm glad Obama has been inaugurated if only to see Bush leave. But he's continuing Bush's War on Terror policies. A few days ago he authorised an air strike on a village in Pakistan killing 18 people, which included civilians although the target was al-Qaida militants.

Is anyone really surprised?

I'm actually a bit surprised he dropped the act so quickly. Obviously he's decided he now has enough unquestioning support to win the next election irrespective of what he does for the next four years.

Speaking of Obama- what do people think of this Obama quote...

'In no other country on earth is my story even possible'

Is he kidding himself?? Are all American's so far stuck up their own arses that they truly believe that they are the ONLY country where a member of a disadvantaged minority can prosper? Come off it..

Maybe we're looking at the next 4-8 years of funny quotes, like the Bush years :-P

Maybe he's saying that America sucks and that in no other country is there such a divide between minorities and majorities? As in, disadvantaged people are given more of a chance to prosper in countries other than the USA.

I think that's being a bit optimistic...

He was probably just trying to rally the crowd and induce a sense of patriotism by implying that America is the greatest and gives minorities chances.

I agree

That whole 'America is the greatest' no other nations compare bullshit gets a bit tiring after awhile though.
