He's senile.
So, no.

McCain is closing in. But it's only early...

But how do we know that he's not just pretending to be senile so people think he's harmless, so that he can get elected. Then, when he does he will drag america into another war with asia because he's crazy?!?!?!?!

As opposed to the black dude who is therefore a pimping crack dealer...

If you're going to deal in biased steroetypes you may as well chuck them in from both sides.

Something the media in America could stand to learn from.

That wasn't the point I was trying to make...I seriously think that being tortured everyday for five years is going to fuck somebody up. I mean, everyone knows of the stories of return Vietnam soldiers who went into psychotic lapses when a helicopter flew overhead.

And besides the 'black dude' is only half black...hardly counts.

Ah, I see you've learned your Vietnam war history from American movies.

Not quite, it's McCain 8, Obama 3...if you believe the call, which has made after only 9.4% of the vote being counted in Kentucky - a Bush stronghold.

"By 11am, 9.4 per cent of the state's votes had been counted, giving Republican candidate John McCain a narrow lead over Barack Obama, 51.1 per cent to 47.8 per cent."

Not really...It did actually happen. My dad once worked with a guy who had a 'relapse' once with a fan in a classroom.

I'm just watching CNN, they're calling 207 Obama and 95 McCain. McCain has 49% of the popular vote and Obama 50%. I'm not sure how much of a delay there is though...

They're going through exit poll stats now, and they're going through the Latino vote... I can see another category there for 'never attend church'.  :|

This site http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/ has Obama with 284 safe, and from what I understand of their weird-arse system, he only needs 270.

My dead best friend's dead father was a sniper in WW2.  Anytime a car backfired, he'd hit the ground facefirst and cover his head with his hands.  This was still happening in the 1980s - four decades after he was de-mobbed.

Ah, it would appear that CNN is live. The results on the telly are the same as their website...

Oh, and my dad used to know a Vietnam vet who would check behind doors every time he went in any room to make sure no-one was hiding there. War messes with people's heads in such a powerful way... McCain doesn't seem to have that sort of problem... unless he's hiding it by pretending that he's a harmless old man who fluffs his lines a lot. He's had many years in the public eye to get that sort of thing under control. Of course from how things are looking I don't think you need to worry about it anyway Booky...
