I've not heard that before GB, only 'sweating like a whore in mass, ' or 'sweating like a paedophile at a Wiggles concert.' I'm adding it to the vernacular.

I'm disenchanted.

I stole it from a Garth Marenghi commentary...I'm really not that clever...

Saaaaaad. But probably not s sad as I should be as my mother is too sad. And guilty for having people do all this stuff for me because the think I'm sad. When in reality I'm more sad about not having a good Halloween party. And excited that I get a parcel today and hot because it's hot.

i'm not so bad today. still hating the world, largely, but things are looking up.

this morning i told my class that i was having a "quiet voice" day as i had a sore throat. i gave them a sample of the loudest voice i was going to use and told them the ramifications of what would happen if they spoke relentlessly or too loudly. i didn't yell once to get their attention all day. i just sat quietly and waited for them to get the idea that i was waiting for silence.

amazingly, it was the quietest day that i've had all year.

the other breakthrough that i had today was that i've decided that if i've tried every avenue and a kid still doesn't give a shit about their learning, i'm not going to beat my head against a brick wall anymore. if some retarded fuck of a kid decides that they don't want to use capital letters at the starts of sentences when i've told them a thousand times to do it, well, fuck it. they can grow up to be morons. i'm not raising my blood pressure to cater for fucktards anymore.

(disclaimer: this does not include kids with issues who actually try but struggle. i'm just talking about the 'couldnt be fucked' spoilt brat kids).
