this has become a very amusing pastime....

Sunday Funday is identical to the game Menace Beach, also released by Color Dreams, excepting a few graphics and a complete story change. While the hero in Menace Beach fights ninja and evil clowns on his way to rescue his girlfriend from Demon Dan, the hero in Sunday Funday fights bullies and businessmen on his way to Sunday school. Additionally, the hero carries a bible in Sunday Funday but not in Menace Beach. Finally, in Menace Beach, the hero's girlfriend appears wearing less and less clothing between levels, but she is replaced by a fully clothed Sunday school teacher in Sunday Funday.

The player controls a young Christian whose town has been infested with demons apparently under the command of Satan himself. His task is to purify and convert the denizens to Christianity. Strewn about the town are the Fruit of the Spirit, taken from Galatians 5:22-23 and represented allegorically by five fruits (pears, pomegranates, apples, grapes, and bananas). The player may use these to defeat enemies by hurling the fruits at unbelievers who repent immediately upon contact.

The game itself is a straightforward port of Wolfenstein 3D, with altered graphics and sounds. Instead of killing Nazi soldiers in a castle, the player takes the part of Noah, wandering the ark, throwing fruit and grain at stray animals in order to pacify them.

I've got Menace Beach on the NES! 

It's part of an '18 in 1' game cartridge that you have to stick a real nintendo cartridge in the back of to play, so you can probably guess that it's a super high quality game...

I got it for the emulator, just to see...
seems a lot of the christian games are remakes of the most unchristian games you can find...
which begs the question, why did these christian game makers have them?

I tried throwing fruit at my boyfriend, he did not repent, he just threw it back,.. I didn't repent either..... maybe our fruit is heathen.

Not neccesarily an apple, some indeterminant kind of fruit from the Tree of Knowledge.
