Chaser Annual 2008
« on: September 05, 2008, 03:40:57 PM »

Since no-one else in the extended Chaser stable cares about you lot, I thought I'd quietly and unofficially mention that we've been smashing page after page of satirical hilarity for the past few months, in between ruthless games of ping-pong...a game at which I irredeemably suck.

But less about my athletic failings. I saw what I'm led to believe is the final cover art for the book the other day, and it looks awesome.

Beyond that, there's gonna be shitloads of new content, including some award-winning* work from me. (I tried to get up an all-expenses-paid article on the nation's finest strip joints, but Dom was having none of it. Apparently lapdances have no satirical merit, even though I said I'd be enjoying them ironically. But I digress...)

Plus there are all the best news articles from the website...and plenty of unseen ones, too.

And I haven't written a single fucking word about Wikipedia.

I love you,
Shane Cubis

Wouldn't want to be bitter about anything now, would we? :-P

Are there any new contributors for this Annual? Or just the usual people? :-)

Just the usual contributors, as far as I know. There's more stuff from the TV blokes than last year, which is nice.

Including Chris Taylor, who hasn't written any book stuff for ages (in fact, I think since before I started writing for The Chaser).

It's shaping up to be even better than 'The Other Secret'!

Lexii, I can't be trusted to provide accurate, concrete details, but it usually comes out in November.

Near the end of the month, probably.

Oh, like wikipedia?

Ok this is getting so lame now. I'll stop :-P
I wonder what would happen if I tried to create a Shane Cubis wiki page.

You could always merge it with the actual Chaser team article :-P

Imagine if you're not good enough for a merged article, eh Cubis?

Yeah...just imagine...

And from what I've read, there's some superb material for Andrew Hansen fans. Well, I enjoyed 'em anyway!
