Nicole Kidman has delivered her first child, a baby girl, her agent, Wendy Day, said.

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born in the American country music capital of Nashville just before midnight on Monday Eastern Australian standard time, weighing 6 pounds 7.5 ounces (2.93 kilograms).

Her husband, Australian country singer Keith Urban, was by her side for the birth and mother and baby are very well, Ms Day said.

The country singer announced his new daughter's name on his website, and thanked their fans and supporters.

"Early Monday morning, Nic gave birth to our beautiful baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban,'' he wrote on www.keithurban.net.

"We want to thank everybody that has kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We feel very blessed and grateful that we can share this joy with all of you today.''

The couple had just celebrated their second wedding anniversary in Nashville where they have been living in a gated community. They were married in Manly on June 25, 2006.

The Academy Award-winning actress has two adopted children - 15-year-old Isabella Jane Kidman-Cruise and 13-year-old Connor Anthony Kidman-Cruise - with her previous husband, Tom Cruise.

She had a miscarriage shortly after separating from the Mission: Impossible star.

WHAT THE HELL?!
Sunday Rose?! It sounds like Sunday ROAST for God's sake.
Seriously, this is worse than Gwenyth Paltrow naming her baby Apple.

Anyway, the point I wanted to bring up before I came to the shock horror of the baby's name, was adoption. Tom and Nicole had two adopted kids, Isabella & Connor, they live with Tom 90% of the time. Tom and Kate have their own biological baby, Suri. Is it just me or would Isabella and Connor feel really like, left out or really "cut up" as teenagers say, because both their adoptive parents have gone their seperate ways and had their own babies..?

Not the first two words of it, but Tiger Lily sounds normal compared to Sunday Rose.

Sunday in general is a bad name for a person. Wednesday sounds better

I thought the worst was having to watch Koshie go on about how it should have been some "Aussie" name.
That man frustrates me like all hell.

But still, there are worse names. If she hates it so much when she grows up, she can change it.
I still think Peaches is the weirdest and the fact that she has other friends called Peaches aswell.
Just be grateful you have a sensible name.

My favourite scary baby name has got to be Jason Lee's (From "My Name is Earl") son, called 'Pilot Inspektor Riesgraf Lee'. His parents must hate him.

So then the challenge is, to pick the best aussie-ish name, male and female. If you had a kid, what would you choose for your child's name? I'm willing to bet that no two people can agree on any name.

Actually, Mr Mez and I agreed on two baby names.  The fact that I had him in a headlock both times was immaterial.

It's supposed to be Sunday Roast which is what you have when you're not going out with tom Cruise.
