Yeah...we are living in a dictatorship!  We'd be no worse off living under Bush, or Mugabe or Hitler...

Let me guess, you are 20 something

Why bother guessing when you could just check my profile?

So, what do you need to do - whinge about and hate ALL politicians.

ALL politicians get elected through party room subterfuge and lying to the public. Are you suggesting I should respect their obsession with money and power?

Maybe you should just go and buy a mirror and have a good look at yourself.

Due to the government's preference for taxing everything in sight, I can't really afford one right now.

Maybe becuase you don't have the balls or the conifidence in yourself to enter into it yourself.

Or the comprehensive disregard for integrity required.

So fucking easy to sit back and bitch and complain.

Yes, almost as easy as turning up at parliament a couple of times a month and then collecting a lifetime pension.

Hey, I hate the milky bar kid too and I ranted about how much he would promise prior to the election and not deliver

Like you said, it's easy to complain.

much to the disbelief of those on this website, who also stated their main reasons for getting Rudd in was "that we need a change"

So you think Johnny was doing a good job? And no, voting for someone else doesn't work because of preferential voting, compulsory voting, and the large number of bogans in the country.

another fucking uneducated comment from people bought up in State schools

In my experience, 'educated' people are the least likely to pick up on corruption. They learn the theory without understanding the reality.

But no, I respect him for his efforts in promising. Hard job to promise.

Actually, I think you'll find making promises is quite easy. The hard part is convincing people that you never made them. Unfortunately, Emperor Rudd is quite good at that. Unlike you, I will never respect him for it.

Preferential voting?

*waits for it*

Though, there's nothing neccesarily wrong with going to a State school, if you want to be educated you can get yourself an education.

The problem with preferential voting is that everyone's vote ends up going to one of the two major parties (assuming Liberal and National to be one party). If When your first choice is eliminated, your vote goes to your second preference etc, and eventually ends up with one of these two self-interested parties.

Yeah, got that, thought you meant one of the more "unusual" interpretations people seem to have of it.
