No I'm pretty sure aspergers syndrome is a form of autism but on the lower end of the scale

Usually called the higher end of the scale - as in higher functioning. Still part of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Last night's episode of All Saints did a very fine job of explaining the two, not that I'd expect you to demean yourself so far as to watch that.
