Chaser's 2008 Tropfest Entry - DVD Extra?
« on: April 14, 2008, 01:59:53 AM »

Just a thought, I noticed that 'Taylor's Tropfest Entry' is on episode 2 of season 1.1 and I read somewhere that the Chaser (not sure whether all members of just some) entered a short film into this year's Tropfest. So it will be interesting to see whether it features anywhere on the much awaited DVD of season 2.2 of 2007.

I don't think Chris actually entered that into Tropfest.

I wonder how their entry went this year. Does anyone know?

No idea. I'll try to find out though. I didn't actually know they entered anything until this thread was created.

James Edwards, Chaser editor (cuts the voxies) entered Moon Water into Tropfest ummmmmm last year I think, maybe he shot it for this year's festival, can't remember - co-directed by Amy Hardingham.  Beautiful film.

Also James shot, produced and cut Garbage Man, a Tropfest finalist and winner best original score: http://www.vimeo.com/599774

"It was directed by the nutty Henry Naylor, and starred the fabulous Rebecca De Unamuno. It was written by Henry, Charles Firth, and Andrew Hansen".

I just watched them both.

I didn't think either of them were that great. :|

Moon Water had a nice idea, but it just seemed like it could have been better...

But then again I have no idea on what is good or not. :P

I like Garbage Man. It's just such a random idea for a film, and I find it pretty funny & clever.

Wow thankyou so much for the links and info! I've seen Garbage Man but not Moon Water previously but now that you put the links up, I saw both of them and I reckon they're excellent videos. Brilliant stuff. Thanks to you, Julie!  :-)
