FATTY BOOMBAH corner
« on: February 04, 2008, 04:36:30 PM »

This is the thread for all you guys who are going to lose weight together and then rip through the forum's female population.

You can post your successes and failures here, and we will congratulate, commiserate, or mercilessly mock you.

This is the place for diet tips, catchy slogans ("A moment on the lips: a lifetime on the hips!"), and all the other stuff us dieters do.

GC is the official weight-loss judge at the end of the year.

Hmmm... sounding less appealing than you might think there, Mez.

You can post your successes and failures here

How much detail you after?

Good luck, fellas. It's nice to hear men complain, bitch and moan about the extra kilos they're carrying and wish to eradicate, for a change.  :-D

My pt reckons I could lose half a kilo, but quite frankly, I'm not bothered about it.

it's on

can anyone recommend any decent 'filler foods' that will stuff the stomach but won't fatten the body or drive the mind to suicide.

That's seriously overweight, Bix.  Are you sure he didn't say "half your body weight"?

Well, I went to Fat Club (ww) tonight for the second time.  I lost 1.6 kg, which was okay, but Emo Child beat me by losing 2 kg.   And all she's done is cut out the chocolate and KFC, while I have been eating rabbit food. :x

Just goes to show the difference between puberty and menopause.  It's 0.4 kg.

Ah Nick, good "filler food" is Weet-Bix with skim milk, stick in microwave for 99 secs, sprinkle with heaps of fake sugar, eat.  It fills you up.  That's all I can say about it really. :|

Live on almonds. I can shed the mass rapidly if that becomes my snacking food.

FOR THE RECORD:
104kg as at this morning, I'd like to say it is very muscly fat. I may have exaggerated when I said I was 240kg yesterday.

it's not about weight, it's about appearance!! if you are on 104 kilos but you have huge abs and can crush aircraft carriers between your fingers this thread aint for you.

i have heard rumours that meat releases chemicals that make you feel full. maybe thats why vegetables never seem to satisfy.

I suspect it is more likely I could crush aircraft carriers under my meaty arse than between my fingers, although I'm reasonably tall so the mass is spread out.  :-P

Yeah, lean steaks ftw.

I seriously cannot for my life remember what it was about artificial sweeteners that was bad.. but in teen language, all I remember is that 'it screws up your body's way of dealing with sugar and ends up making you fatter than you were before', or something along the lines of that.

Though, while nuts are good for protein and unsaturate fats... They're high calorie foods.

Um... eat slower so your brain has time to register that you're full before you overeat, drink water while you eat (fills you up more), drink lots of water (everything occurs faster in solution), eat fruit and vegetables (vitamins and minerals increase metabolism as they form the basis of enzymes), exercise (increases metabolism too-duh) and sleep more (the more time you spend sleeping, the less you spend thinking about food)!

You may be right.  Aspartame is rumoured to be a killer toxin, but I don't believe it.  However, just in case, I buy stuff called Perfect One from the health food shop.  It's made out of - uh - something natural, I've thrown the packet away, but it's NOT stevia, that's too expensive.

As for eventually making you fatter, well, maybe that's why yo-yo dieters always put the weight back on, but I've never heard of anything like you were saying, Bludger.

Cigarettes and petrol fumes will keep hunger pangs at bay.

I'm putting cash on someone being petty enough to amputate one or both legs just to win this betsy.
