I'm not too sure about the birth control bit however I just read this statistic the other day- per 100 live births that take place, 25 are aborted. I find that incredible. Do pro choicers think that all of these were for perfectly valid reasons??

And do anti-choicers think that none of them were?

Of course they were. Or do you have some dictionary somewhere that defines what is a "valid" reason for an abortion?

As much as I would like to see every pregnancy taken to term and adopted out if need be, the simple fact is that abortion lowers the crime rate.  Women are excellent judges (in the main) of whether or not they can support a child.  If they cannot they should have the ability to safe,clean, informed abortion.

Much safer all round that way, for mother and society.

And like SG said, not every woman is able to take care of a baby were she to take her pregnancy to term. They should have the option.

You'd be shocked by how many have confessed this very thing. Women who you think are the best mums in the world, and adore their kids. It's not socially acceptable to say, "God, what have I done?"
