Again? Sure. You put their dialogue on a scale of "Moderately Tolerable" (1) to "Makes me want to swallow razor wire and string it out my arse, and floss*" (10).

Again? Sure. You put their dialogue on a scale of "Moderately Tolerable" (1) to "Makes me want to swallow razor wire and string it out my ass" (10).

Arse.

And don't forget the flossing yourself to death bit.

haha lolz what an awsum topic. I think you're right on the money, person who posted this topic. And to PROVE that I agree with you, I'm going to dedicate this whole post to how undeniably cool I am, and not in the SLIGHTEST one of those fangirl types.

See, I was watching television back in the 1930s when it was first released in America. It was already so old hat when it came to Australia in 1956, so really they were all bandwagoners. I got ALL the jokes from back then. Well, my chromosomes did.

I'm also not a fangirl because I like ugly people too. JUST because I have a picture of the Chaser under my pillow at night, and every waking moment spent thinking about them, does NOT mean I'm a fangirl. I honestly don't even know where all this stereotyping comes from!

Have I referenced old and 'leet' comedies yet? Well I shouldn't even bother, because none of you intellectually inferior beings will have even heard of them. Just know, that when I was 2 or 3, I watched them and understood ALL the jokes. I DID! I was very advanced.

I just think the difference between the two (and indeed all types) is the appreciation. I mean obviously I appreciate it/them much more than the average person, because I myself dabble into television. I had work experience with Margaret and David back in the day, so I of course know what it's like. I think this group of "experienced" or like minded fans are rare, because let's face it, who else could even compare?

What isn't too subtle for a fangirl?

This place tends to breed 'em.

It breeds something, anyway.

Something Pretentious:  Oh, God.  Hausfrau Hitler.  That one still makes me laugh almost hysterically (or it would, if I was prone to laughing almost hysterically at things I think are funny and clever).

Keridwen: Thanks.  But I'll have you know that while you were watching TV back in the 30s, I was one of the pioneers behind the scenes.  Oh, I remember walking to the studio, barefoot in the snow...it was uphill both ways, and the journey was ten miles there and twenty miles back.  And let me tell you, there was no such thing as central heating back then, oh no; if we were cold, we went and chopped the firewood and started our own fires to keep warm...

Does that satisfy the need for "good old days" reminiscing?
