Personally, I think it's better on the inside. The DVD cover will be touched and opened and eventually the signatures will come off.

Nah, when they sign the front they don't sign the plastic, they do the same as the inside (by taking it out) but just on the outside.

Well then it comes down to how lazy you are.

Can you really be bothered taking out the cover of the plastic while waiting in line to get something signed? It is a big effort afterall.
