It's because Gen Y has no balls.
We want everything, we want to be hardcore but we are to scared to actually do anything that is going to get us in trouble. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, hell I don't think we should be doing crazy violent things, but I don't know, I just don't really see it so much as that we can now differentiate even more  between the two but instead are scared of the consequences so get our rush of edginess from the media and such.

I now know that a hanged body that is left to decompose will sort of "melt" around the noose as it digs into the softening flesh, and that if you shoot yourself in the head with a shotgun, it tends to "unpeel" it.  Great.
