Election campaign 2007
« on: October 14, 2007, 01:03:40 PM »

Finally, it's on! We've got a 6 week election campaign, voting on Saturday 24th November. No doubt there'll be lots going on the in campaign, it'd be great to know what people think about those delightful "promises" that will be wheeled out. Please post here!

I would like funding for health & education.  And a pizza.  And a jet-ski.

I guess it's lucky that Beazley didn't remain captain of the ship with his dad carking it. Would have been horrible timing.

I thought that it still had to be decided between Nov 24 and Dec 1. Or am I a few hours behind?

No worries, see you at the polling booth on Dec 1.  Will bring your fine with me.  On my new jet-ski.  With a pizza.

Does it have to be Mondays? I work on Mondays and I really don't want to see my boss naked   :-o More politicians should make policy statements about free pizza.

Hey! You heard John Howard, everybody - all of a sudden he decides to preach that there has to be balance, balance, balance of power and representation in this country, so don't vote in Labour. Balance, people. Which means that if a free pizza policy is announced, there must also be a free kebab policy as well. Plus a too-many clothes Tuesday, and alternate Thursdays declared poncey Midori and lemonade midi days.

As well as balance, Tony Abbot thinks "that no one has as much stamina as the Prime Minister"...I wonder how he knows?

I'm writing a letter to both my Liberal and Labor candidates asking them what are they going to do to secure my vote and try and play them off against one another to get the best deal.
