Of course, Cancri is only 41 light years from Earth, ie roughly 387,623,861,000,000 Km away, meaning we could send a spacecraft to check it out & report back. I'm betting the place is just packed with religion!

Anyone got anything that can travel at, say, a trillion kilometers per hour? If so, we could get a result in a little over 600-700 years.

It depends who makes the rocket. If it's a Ford, or Skoda, I'm expecting more than a few maintenance stops. And did you factor in coffee breaks, flexi-days, loo and prayer stops?
