I'm notTo be read: "Shit, no one is defending my right to make perfectly valid criticisms of this fourm. Backpeddle, FAST!

You see dumpling, if you're going to start a fight, you fight it. You don't start waving the white flag one and a half pages in. Backbone is what's required poor misguided forum misfit, backbone. There is more than enough bullshit in this place to have successfully argued your position long enough to have turned at least a few people. Failing that you bang away at one person who opposes you in an attempt to turn the others posting in the thread on them thus shifting the focus away from you so you can skulk away under the cover of their e-mutilation by others.

Put simply, you need to harden the fuck up. Let this be a lesson to you.

I dont care enough, I'm afraid :(
I think criticising this forum is pointless. I enjoy teasing but people here get too riled up.

Come now little narcy. Don't be so coy. I thought the whole point of teasing people was to see how "riled up" you can get them.

I will admit, I found the "0 to 100 in two posts" thing a little difficult to deal with at first, but after a while you learn to use it for your own entertainment.

I find grammatical pedantry and personal attacks the hallmarks of those without the wit to say something more intelligent. We each pay people out in our own way according to our own capacity.

How about you start a good fight about something controversial and I'll join in with you regardless of how preposterous the proposition is and we'll see how long it takes people to resort to name calling. What say ye?

Ahh, I see. You suffer the bob hawke brand of humour. You too can get to know "bob hawke" by hunting through the DIY thread. He was great with humour, that lacked just one thing. Humour.

You're all pitiful people. This thread was made "in jest". It's funny how everyone's getting so wound up. I really pity the non understanding of the entire thread.

Though I didn't particularly care, I can see how people would confuse you with a serious person.  I mean, we've had lots of crazy people who occasion suffer an attack of emo "this forum, and by extension, the world is so cruel" * posting.  Hard to tell the crazy people from the moderately crazy people pretending to be really crazy.

I read the first post and laughed and laughed and laughed. Really. It was so funny I thought to myself, "This thread was made in jest!". My sides hurt. I rolled around on the floor. I even peed a little.

I agree with Thal - sometimes it's hard to judge levels of crazy.

I actually laughed out loud at this (as we all know most of the time lol is written not because of it's literal meaning but because people can't be fucked saying anything else).
What has being fat got to do with anything that's currently being discussed?
Although I am 5'2 and 55 kilos. And if Kate Moss, the definition of beauty is 5'7 and 48 kilos...I should be about...35? So yeah I'm a chunky butt. Good detective work, brusnick old pal.

If I wanted to have an 'emo attack' I would have made a post about how cruel and unkind everyone on this forum was and people shouldnt you realise how much words can hurt? What if someone on here kills themselves?? How would you feel??
And then I would proceed to make a goodbye thread with an uploaded video of me-sobbing, mascara streaked, dressed in black up in the attic with a soup spoon and a container of drano, saying how cruel and materialistic and mainstream the world has become and may you all wither away as i make my own way to a dark dank place and that death has his own clammy hand on my shoulder le sob.

been there, almost done that. and the source of the problem was that someone actually got *too* friendly with one of the nutters - not people tearing strips off them.

A word to the wise: Pointing out someone else's typographical errors does not make you smarter than them. You yourself seem to rely primarily on logical fallacies to make your point (primarily strawman and ad hominem attacks). Frankly, I think you need to realise that arguments need to contain some substance. You're not proving anything just because you think that correcting said mistake proves how smart you are.

But obviously cramming as many hypersyllabic words into one block of text and throwing in the odd latin phrase IS supposed to make you seem smarter than them...

Happy that one less loser was on the forum. Words only hurt if you choose to listen to them, and if you do, then the choice to kill yourself over that hurt is YOUR CHOICE. The amount of people who whine and say, "Oh! You hurt my feelings with your nasty words!" is just pathetic. Take responsibility for how you CHOOSE TO REACT.

Grow a spine and harden the fuck up. Actually, just fuck off.
