you're just applying your gender role stereotypes to the person. i know i'm guilty of it...whenever i read something written by a female i immediately think it's flawed in some way whereas i'm more inclined to believe a male's opinion.

the thing i love about internets forums is that you have the potential to discuss stuff with no notion of gender.

Yes, I suppose I do. I never thought of it like that.

i understand in some discussions (e.g. the abortion thread) the gender of the poster may affect their opinion, but otherwise i don't understand how one's gender is pertinent (unless of course you're trying to figure out if you'd be able to potentially win over that person with your e-flaps  )
