From what we can find out he switched shifts to work Thursday nights instead and we don't when, or if he'll be back at all. And JA can be quite ridged in conversation sometimes. :( He seems to like Karen though. :)

It would seem appropriate to suggest that you keep close to said Karen from now on then. Its hardly even a pronunciation difference from people you've scammed tickets off before, so the transition should be quite smooth.
