Can someone give me a straight answer: am I a crazy fangirl or not?  :-)

I  think as long as you aren't doing one or a combination of any of the following you probably aren’t a fangirl...

1. Sleeping in a tent on their front lawn with a giant sign professing your undying love.

2. Following them around to collect anything that they discard.

3. Sneaking up behind them to take locks of their hair.

4. Wanting to have their babies and seeking them out to say as much.

5. Just randomly walking up to them, touching them in a slightly disturbing manner, and then walking away again.

6. Squealing... for any reason

7. Going to places, events etc, just in case they are there.

8. Fawning excessively

There's more, but I think you get the gist.

Just my opinion, but I think you'll find there is forum crazy history influencing the need to get a bit of sanity in the realms of fangirlism. And I know most of the time it is obvious when somebody is 'mostly-in-jest', but it can go (and has gone) too far at times. I'm sure they would be equally bothered by real life crazy fangirlism if/when it was as OTT as some of the stuff said in here.

But I thought the influx of crazyfangirlism was recent? That's the impression I get when everyone whinges about how magnificent the forum used to be...

That's something only you can answer.

Oops, forgot about that.  :-)
Ahh well, I think that although the thread remains, AHOF is dead in spirit.

Let me ask you this: If I came up to you and the other forum people and introduced myself at a taping after the break would you

a) say hello and possibly be nice
b) run away and cleanse yourselves of the fangirly-ness
c) yell "RUN, ANDREW, RUN! and press the 'red alert' button and have me taken away by your friend AJ
or just
d) say "fuck off little (fan)girl, you don't belong here."

Calcifer! You underestimate us! Where is the "all of the above" option?

You will find that most forum people are nice in real life (I mean "forum" as in, the internet in general, I don't specifically mean this place) and by nice I mean they're used to hiding behind their keyboards in their cutting remarks...? No one is an exeption - most people are completely different to meet than they are on the net. You'd be well received.

I'd yell "RUN ANDREW RUN," but I'd probably give you hug because I felt bad.

Well that's fine by me. Only reason I did put it back on topic was because we made a point of asking them if the weird crazy people bothered them too much. Not, however, in the context of the forum, which is how Dom meant his post - but you'd think they'd be bothered more by real life crazyfangirlism than internet crazyfangirlism. So if they're not bothered by real life crazyfangirlism then how could they be bothered by stupid, mostly-in-jest internet shit?

Didn't we ask atleast Craig about the forum as well. Cause I swear I remember him saying he never goes on the forum so it doesn't bother him.

Does anyone but Dom and Chas ever make appearances? I know some of them have accounts, but that doesn't mean they've posted in recent living history. (or even read any of this shit)

I've seen Jules on occasionally, and rumour has it that Andrew comes on as a hidden user.

I once saw the username Andrew Hansen in the chatroom. He was logged out when I was there, but he said something like:

Hello everyone.

Oh, I'll come back later.
