My Latest, Greatest Theory
« on: May 24, 2007, 12:16:25 AM »

The TTAShit thread is getting bogged down in peoples lame theories.

Here's one to get us started.

The nature of some things change simply by being observed, meaning their previous nature can never be observed.

Unless of course you go back to the first of 650 odd pages and read each post... fuck that.

Well, there are some things that can't be observed very well...Uncertaincy principle and all that.

Yeah, apologies for that.

I'd agree with that theory. From memory, they were having that problem in science when they were trying to monitor atoms or something.

I saw a show where they put electrodes into brains to stop people with tourettes ticking.

Pretty amazing really, just drilled down, put 'em in, turned 'em on and after a certain amount of tweaking the tick was gone.  They had to do it while they were awake so that they could tell when they had the correct section of brain.

But the doc was treated as a quack by all other docs because it was experimental.

I remember seeing a documentary where they attached something a mouse, including a camera and they were able to remotely control the mouse by triggering some pleasure receptors or something - it was ages ago and I don't really remember.

They were saying that it would be useful to send the mouse down into wreckages like the Thredbo landslide or September 11 type events to search for survivors.

If by "some" you mean "all", then you are correct.

Hey, we agree on something! But it's not a matter of whether or not it's "correct," because we haven't done experiments or such. It's a matter of opinion.

Yon is what is, is made of.
Before space before time you had potential you had Yon.
What we percieve as the Rules of the Universe is what we can see of Yon
Here, There and Yon
What we see as chaos is our inability to percieve Yon
God is to small a word for Yon
Yon is not constant
Yon is grey between White and Black there lays Yon
Yon is the same as Chalk and Cheese
Yon is transition/becoming not beginning or ending.
Yon exists in the flickerings of a flame
Yon is what the elements are made of
Yon is not bound by rules Yon is the rules
Yon is the gleam of a Polished Apple it can be percieved but not had.
The Search for Yon is like a search for reflection in mirrors, you will succeed but what will you learn?

No it isn't.  To observe something, you must interact with it.  When you interact with something, you change it.

Then of course, there is the uncertaincy principle, as mentioned by someone else.

Must one interact with something to observe it?  Please explain, you may watch me while you do.

apparently. you could probably watch some situations without people knowing about it, but these would be limited and not particularly useful, since the behaviour people exhibit in places they can be watched isn't generally 'uninhibited' or 'natural' behaviour.
