G,day all and welcome.

While chilling in his palatial abode last nite Mr Duncan Emelio Corducci decided to take a break from FOXTEL and watch The Chaser on ABC TV.

The last time Mr Corducci watched the Chaser was in 2004 and at this time he thought it was raw, funny and clever in its pisstake of the politicans that Mr Corducci comes into contact with on a daily basis when they come to visit the boutique "Dunco's House of Fine Fashion".

Anyhoo, last nite when yours truly sat on his expensiev leather sofa he was amazed to see that the Chaser has gone down hill fast.

Pehaps though its not a bad thing. Mr Corducci saw it happen to all good t.v shows when they get that little bit of extra cash as well as having a decent run the jokes start to go a bit stale, like a fart in a car.

The show is clearly going the way of Stella St, D-Generation, The Doug Mulray Show, Kath and Kim when they were on thierlast legs.

Mr Corducci fears that what was once good politcal satire has now become simply playing practical jokes on members of the general public e.g. "If life were a musical" Segment.

Mocking shows that we all know are crap anyway and are only watched by concerned and ill informed middle Australians e.g. The What have we learned from Current Affairs This Week Segment"

Or whats worse, they are now resorting to pointless filler segments such as the Star Trek spoof and The wolf mother skit.

Mr Duncan Corducci takes issue with all of this and aims to write a formal letter to management at the ABC outlining what HE thiks hould be done to show.

First and formeost the show should include Mr Corducci in at least one segment.

Mr Corducci sincerely hopes that the Chaser Team read this and pull their sox up.

Until then, Mr Corducci will be satisified watching re-runs of Blankety Blanks on FOXTEL at least he can get laugh there.

Take care PHART chiefs

Dunc, you are the true FraudMeister. No executive worth his salt would wait 36 minutes for a response. The limit is 5 minutes, but absolutely no more than 10.

So, which of the 2 sewer workers are you? The one that put his bucket into the sewer and passed it to the other was the "Executive" because he took shit from noone, or are you the other guy?

Pull yourself together Dunco, since you lost the love of a good woman you haven't been yourself.

Thank you for that informative and thoughtful review.  As I haven't watched the Chaser's War since the second week of airing, I found it particularly helpful and insightful.

At this point, I'd like to ask if enough time has elapsed that I may come around to the palatial abode with a Vienetta and watch Blankety Blanks with you, without it being weird.

Regards,
Trucka (formerly known as Trukkka)

Serious response...

I think there are people who agree with your observations about the change in style of the show, or at least the change from previous Chaser projects.

Probably there are fewer who have any serious issue with the changes, and fewer still who will write to the ABC.

Now, which member of the team put you up to this?

PS I have no issue with the d-chief and find many of his commentaries entertaining and insightful.

Review of Dunco's Review

The review is held high by some constructive criticism and is bound toether tightly by some great examples of shows going through the negative tavelator. However, lapses are found through the loss of sparkle and glow bought on by suggestions on how this show could get itself back to the days of CNNN etc. The only shining light in this respect was the tease to have you invited onto the show. Overall a well structured review.

I am going to give it 4 stars.

Margaret?

Well Fritz, you sound like a real suck a la The Dunc.

Like you I was enjoying the review until the scene where Mr Dunc suggested that he was the Saviour. That's where the picture of bolts of faded denim all over the set freaked me out, man.

It would have been like The Inventors being thrown out on the street.

One and a half stars, if that.

That picture of you at the podium reminds me of that picture of the kitten with a gun in it's face. I think it's the way you are holding your hands.
