The MOVIE was made when America was the dominant world superpower.
So obviously there just HAS to be propaganda. Obviously 28 Weeks Later is also propaganda, and every other movie made during the time that America is the world's superpower. It's so generalistic, it's bullshit.
300's script involves quite a lot of Americanism- the Spartans spent their whole time fighting for 'Freedom,' and 'Reason' over 'Eastern Mysticism.' (direct quotes there)
You do realise they were being invaded by the Persians, right? And that it is an historic event that took place, right? Ergo, that what was said wasn't out of place, right? You didn't realise that? I didn't think so. If you did realise this, you'd know that parallels with how things are in the world at the moment doesn't mean propaganda. Al Gore's family had a tobacco plantation, so obviously it's good for the ecology if you smoke.
America is invading. America is fighting a force they greatly outnumber. America is being slammed by small numbered people which aim to kill as many as they can before they die. You realise this movie could be just as much pro-Arab as pro-American, right? I didn't think so.
No Spartan ever had a battle cry that included the word 'reason.' They were crazy fuckers.
Just like all Arabs and people of middle-eastern appearance are terrorists, right? Explain to me the difference between what you just said and what I just said. Your points are generalistic bullshit.
And was it ever recorded in history the position in which the king of the Spartans died? Specifically 'with his legs straight and his arms out to either side, not entirely unreminiciant of the way Jesus died.' Somehow I doubt it. The whole 'BC' gives it away a little bit.
Consider how he was before the arrows hit. Consider why he was like that. Once you get your head around that, you'll understand why your point is as stupid as the rest you've brought up.
