I would suggest that these 'poor women' need to suffer a fair bit more, actually. Atoning for their sins and all that.

I think someone already is. We call them the Chaser.

i was all like 'yeah right they don't do enough though' but then i realised that two days ago more people watched the chaser than today tonight or a current affair.

'what have we learnt from current affairs this week' should be a part of the high school curriculum imo

Gods yes. I might have actually considered going to school then  :|
But in a way, it already is. I have fond memories of middle-high school lunches being spent discussing the news bar. I actually never needed to watch it- people would fill me in. And then I could fill them in on what happened above the news bar. It was a good system.

haha. I myself make it a point to tune into TT just for the half-hour of pure humour that can be derived from it. Maybe it works both ways!

Current affairs shows are vile, populist, hollow, meaningless, thoughtless television. People that watch and enjoy them are similarly pathetic.

TT, ACA et al should be held to account for their shoddy journalistic standards.

I'd suggest burning at the stake but that may be too humane.

Yes. Current affairs shows are evil. Mark my words, some day you'll stop laughing and start listening. This normally happens at about the age of 55, but it has been known to manifest itself at earlier stages of mental decomposition.

Naomi was a sweet young news reader back on the Steve Vizard show. Then she became a mentally deranged psychotic sociopath after just a few years of TT (admittedly, at maximum exposure).

Heed this warning.

To say they're evil actually makes them sound like they have some semblance of intelligence.

Which they don't.

Why would you equate 'evil' with 'intelligence'? I'm betting the prisons in Australia are full of 'evil' people of very little intelligence.

Yes, I agree - but in THIS context, evil intent would have to suggest that they actually THOUGHT about what they were reporting before they reported it.

Which they didn't.

Wahay! Suprise suprise, the Chaser won. 54% This was announced in a ten second montage, mostly involving other shows. And was followed by a story about people being afraid to let their grandkids aboutside because of giant panthers roaming the hills.
Even for the Chaser, I am never watching that again.

eh. I can only hope it's because they've learnt their lesson about attempted sucking-up. They know now that they're only going to get utterly slammed.
