Scam Warning
« on: April 30, 2007, 07:42:06 PM »

I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, and I have even done it myself a couple times unintentionally...but this one is real, and it's important. I've even checked it up on Snopes. So please send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

That's ridiculous. No one would listen to a person who asked them to do that!

Dude, that's not how you check for ticks. They forgot to mention you have to carry a leg bone in each hand and chant in Sanskrit. XD

No, you can check for ticks like that...but they have to show you some form of ID.  Something to show they are a doctor or tick inspector.  Or bovine wrangler, if they think their animals may have spread ticks

Well, ticks are a totally serial issue, Star_Fish.

It's good that someone takes them serial, otherwise we'd be stuffed when it came to super serial issues like ManBearPig.

And I spent the entire weekend dancing like a bell-end, randomly spraying aero-guard on my person, in the hope the chaser dudes were filming!

Does that mean the aeroguard doesn't actually work?
Cause if it don't, the amount of ticks I got must mean I just passed a subject! Cooool!

Or I should spend more on motel rooms.

*Damn, that's making me dizzy*
