Who's running the state?
« on: March 31, 2007, 12:31:57 AM »

What a wet fucking fish Iemma is. Being forced by two unions to install Gibson as minister for sport. The very same minister investigated for matters of corruption. He may have been cleared but smells like rat and he actually does look like a rat so he probably is one. Wouldn't be surprised if the NSW branch of the AHA are lining his pockets. The little shit won't need a pension when he retires. Maybe they should rename his portfolio - Miniter for good times.

Just goes to show how pathetic the current government is. Bend over Iemma, the unions are frisky.

Weak prick.

I'm pretty sure I'd prefer corrupt unions to be running the state than religious nutjobs. The lesser of two evils and all that jazz.

You two just sell yourselves short. Although one would shy away from relgious nut jobs, you would be pathetic to say that you would rest with corrupt union officials. Union officals are bad enough, let alone corrupt ones.

The lesser of two evils...oh dear.

As opposed to the bad smell hanging around various federal types?

"All too often his answers consisted of incoherent and scarcely comprehensible rambling, sprinkled with meaningless phrases, which coming from an apparently intelligent man, were calculated to raise a strong suspicion that he was concerned to obfuscate rather than assist the commission."

Yep...the lesser of two evils.

Everyone always discusses how Iemma, his ministers and the unions are destroying this state. The real question should be what the hell was the liberal party going to do to fix it? Not once in the election campaign did they come up with any viable alternative to what labor were pushing.

My my my, religious nutcases being put on the shelf next to the choice of a corrupt union official.

Fucking idiots; think about which is more likely to fuck you over and get over your pretentious "OH EM GEE RELIGIUN IS BAD YOU NUTCASEZ AR OH EFF EL".  Think about which is the lesser of two evils in regards to you right here, right now, which is where you're going to get hit.

At least with the religious nutcases, you know where the knife is going to come from.

Well you see the issue for me is not really the whole Religious nutter thing. I was thinking more along the lines of "the lesser of two evils" line of argument. the state liberal party is representative of a corrupt, immoral and dare i say it, evil federal government.

Anyone who endorses and is endorsed by John Howard will NEVER get my vote.

And please, do tell why Howard is so bad?

Has he fucked Australia over?  Are we doing worse since he got into power (and has stayed in power)?

I suspect you're talking out of your arse, since most Lefties can't even tell you why Howard is so terrible.  Rebellion for the sake of rebellion.  There really isn't anything more useless than that.

**WARNING!! Analogies ahead!**
All the more reason to change the government then. If the economy is doing well, why not turn the rudder over to someone else for a bit? Personally, I think it is nice to have a captain and a co-pilot, rather than a captain and a flight attendant who has no experience flying.

Sure, during take-off and landing, you want your best guy at the helm, but while cruising in level flight, it's pretty safe to let someone-else have a shot at it (just ask Aeroflot).

As much as right-wingers would have you believe it, Labor are not going to destroy the economy within 3 years. If we don't like the way they fly, we simply switch back. But at least there will be people on both sides of politics who are experienced at running things, not just watching.

Rebellion for the sake of rebellion.

Exactly. It doesn't matter who's in power, they all deserve to die.
