Views On First Episode Back
« on: March 28, 2007, 10:41:07 PM »

So what did everyone think of the first new episode of the Chaser's War on Everything? Lived up to expectation or a bit of a let-down? For me it was a pisser, my favourite bit was the mobs in the crowd and the ad road test (including the catch-up joke). Any other thoughts?

Great stuff, but its hard to tell for me, cause I was in the audience, and its always funnier when you are there. Then it wasn't as funny when I saw it on tv, cause I already knew the jokes. But I certainly enjoyed it :).

naomi robson ballad was my fave...who was Andrew trying to impersonate? (yes i am naive)

Can't wait till next week...that ep only seemed to go for a few minutes.

when is the podcast availble?

ha i mentioned Andrews hair in my post on the ABC site (literally minutes after the end)so true...did he dye it? and jules looks...ahh different with a denim jacket

and where was charles with his handbag snatchers thing?

so many questions so little time

Do you mean who was he impersonating when singing the Naomi tribute? He was being Elton John - you know, the song he played (and then we heard again and again and again for years) as a tribute to Princess Diana.

Brilliant ep - i think my favourite sketch/segment in that was a cross between the "I still call Australia 51% home" and the Naomi tribute.

I hope Clive the Slightly Loud Commuter is on next weeks ep...!!!

And yes - the catchup joke was VERY much appreciated.

Is it just me or is Andrew slowly morphing into Muse's Matt Bellamy? It seems to me that the hair is merely the next logical step in a series of small changes...

First ep was good - a pity that we had massive digital dropouts about the time of the Qantas sketch.
Thank goodness for the Friday repeats!

You mean, the song that he wrote as a tribute to Marilyn Monroe, and then shoddily re-worded to cash in on the death of Princess Diana?

Episode was fantastic. The crazy warehouse guy going to church was probably what made my sides hurt the most but i was laughingg pretty much all through the show it was gold! hasnt lost any of its edge in the new season. Good to see!

But yes that episode did seem rather short. And Andrews hair seems to be beginning a new odyssey toward general weird-ness.

It's not his fault. He fell into a bucket of gel as a kid. I expect he'll be completely bald in a few short years  :|

awww..poor Andrew. his hair is cool (loved the spiky mohawk thing he had going for series 1, ep 26)
sometimes for last series, his hair kinda looked like David Tennants Doctor (y'know one week he had the exact same style as DT had for the Impossible Planet/Satan Pit)
coinsidence?  :|
