My flash movie
« on: September 24, 2006, 04:46:01 PM »

Here is the link to a flash movie I created: Worship

It's not related to the Chaser.

I did make one inspired by the Chaser's War On Everything, but it was too crappy to share with anyone else.

Tell me what you think.

Edit: Changed where it was hosted.

I don't get it, what is the moral of the story?

Sorry philosopher, I didn`t want to be negative. But as you want opinions here`s my two cents:

Religion is a lot about what happens after you die, so...

I use macromedia flash 5, and I can't see any obvious differences in quality. Where did you get your version from, Phil?

And the animation was well done, honey. What made you decide to choose that theme? I invariably animate angry vegetables or violent zombies.

And what do you plan to do next?

I chose  the theme as a response to a religious person I know who often says stuff like 'God will look after you'.

The point is, if there is such a thing as a god/gods or whatever divine thing you believe, it doesn't seem to look after it's followers any better than it looks after non-believers.

I got my version from a friend.

I don't know what I'm going to do next yet.

It seems to be promoting a life less pious.

Shame we don't get to see what happens to stickman after he dies. Was he repayed for his religious ferver in life?

I didn't see that stick figure as pious - it looked pretty humble to me.

One of the points I was trying to convey is that if there is no afterlife, then being involved in religion is a waste of time, effort, and sacrifices. How can I convey that point better?

I was thinking of a short scene where he is in his afterlife and everything is happy, but it starts to fade and he asks what's happening and he is answered that what he is experiencing is just his brain shutting down, and it couldn't last forever. But that would require him to have the knowledge beforehand, and to subconsciously (or actively) believe it.

I see.

I changed where it was hosted, for no particular reason other than I heard that MediaFire was better.
