Dear Chaser Admin,

RE: UID: papabendi

I had a problem after changing email addresses last weekend. Holmes kindly came to the rescue offering as much assistance as he was able to, however suggested that because it still wasn't working I should/he could PM Dom or Richy to have a look into it. I can't PM because I can't log in (at least I don't think I can).

Is it possible to have another look into it ? Problem is this:

- All forum notifications that I have subscribed to are being delivered to the correct/new address (so I know that any password reset should be sent to this address - fyi it's not appearing at the old address either)

- For some reason after the changing the email I can't login and after x attempts am redirected to the Forgot your password ?" form (this same problem was reported here http://www.chaser.com.au/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=99999999&topic=4060.msg127472#msg127472, however in my case, I am not receiving the emails - I have tried more than ten times (in case it's been a case of temporary server problems).

- The url on submission of the change password form indicates that the change password email was sent, prior to redirecting to chaser home (verification: message)

So basically, I can't log in, can't get reset password emails.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Papabendi

As promised to Blue, I am now officially streaking through the top thread of each section because I've finished TAFE and am on my way to Uni :)

* grooviechickie streaks through the thread, naked, clutching a glass of red to her chest!

*Edit: she didn't request it, she just said I should go for it (although we all know the truth that she likes the look of ze nekked vooman)...

*Double edit: No Easy Squeezy  :-D*

Quite some time ago, I registered with chaser - then promptly forgot all about it and didn't return.
Recently I decided to come back, but with a different e-mail address, and a different screen name (for obvious reasons)...
Foolishly, I chose to re-register my new-and-improved self, rather than modify my old one.  But I never received an activation e-mail.  "No problem", I thought, "I'll just modify the old one".
Unfortunately, I am now told that my desired username, e-mail and password are already taken (presumeably by my yet-to-be-activated self).
What can I do?  I don't want to be this me anymore... Why won't it let me change?  Why can't I get an activation e-mail?
Please help me.
Lots of love,
WC

Righto, my activation e-mail has finally arrived... but, bugger it.  I'll just stick with my existing account.

People I don't like can still register and post. Any way to rectify this?

Hey, I have a friend who is trying to join and can't. She says that the confirmation message link doesn't work. Also for some reason cannot post as a guest, do we not have that anymore?

Well, we would appreciate any help you could give...

Hello.
I was having trouble joining (I ended up getting around it, cause when I bought one of your T-shirts I was automatically signed up).
The problem I was having was that when you go into the registration form the image that you type the letters in from (to get around spambots) wouldn't display, and when you click on the "listen to the letters" link, it says it's a broken link. :S
Just though I should let you guys know. :)
