Give me your account name and I'll fix it manually.

Hi,

So, I`ve tried a few times, usually getting an error, please try again, followed by either this username is taken or this email address is being used.

First I tried username Sheik Yerbouti, then I am the real Sheik Yerbouti, then I made a fictitious email account and tried for random member (as I am random guest). This is the one I`d like to keep. I see that random member (ie me) is the newest member, however I got the error that my password is too short, please try again. Then I got the user name is being used (by me, I now realise)

I sent a forgot my password message, but didn`t receive anything last time I tried that, so I`m a bit sceptical. If you resolve this for me, please use the email linked to that user name, rather than the email I`m using for my guest entries.

Thankyou for your time, and thank you for resolving the "Should guests be allowed to post?" issue!!! :-(

Ok

There's nothing apparently wrong with your account it seems except that you don't know your password. Emails aren't going out for some reason so 'I forgot my password' doesn't work.

I'd reset your password manually and email it to you but alas only the two superadmins dom and Richy can do that.

I was going to then suggest that I delete the account and that you try again with a decent password, but lo and behold, I can't delete accounts either.

So you're going to have to sit tight until one of the supreme overlords comes on I'm afraid.

Thankyou, Sir Nick

My experience in the corporate world didn`t include a speedy response. Thankyou for that.

I see this very short topic has been read 67 times... are the forum members really that eager for fresh meat?

I`ll keep checking until I get something.

Yay, good on you RG for joining! :-)

I hope you get to keep RG.  Let us know who you are if you have to get another nom de plume, OK?

I'd say so.

Why don't you register a new account, it'll probably be resolved much faster that way. Grab random member 2, it's a good name. (I know coz I've been Nick 2 here for years till I changed it)

I could, but then there`s the problem of my email account already being used.... and as the error page states, you don`t take bribes.

what the hey, I`ll make another fictitious email account. I`ll let you know how it goes.

No go, I got a database error.

I`ll just sit tight and wait for the "higher powers" to do their thing.

I hope you don`t mind if I put something in here for merran....(if it works)

I'm Bala and today when I logged on I got a message saying that I'm banned because I abused someone. Trouble is, this is my only post in months so I haven't abused anyone, even though I would have liked to many times.
What gives?
