Ok. We've got the Things that are Shit...and the Things that are Great...but I figured we needed a new random dribble thread about things that are weird. So things that happen that spin you out, or you don't understand, or are just plain odd.

So anyway, I'll start off.

Thing that is weird:
Getting a call from your mum who got a call from the 'class dork' you went to school with, saying that he's trying to track you down.

This could mean one of three things:
1. He's organising a reunion (Unlikely. I organised the last one at the 10 year reunion and we're still two years away from our 15 year reunion, so it's an odd year).
2. He still 'holds a torch' and is trying to retromack (Possibly. I was pretty hot when I was a teenager He'll be in for one hell of a shock now though  )
3. He's got a terminal illness and has a 'list' of people he's planning to top before he shuffles off this mortal coil (Highly likely - being a dork, he was the guy that my "friends" used to be mean bitches to and tell him I had the hots for him..to which my embarrassed teenage self vehemently denied in a way that probably wasn't very nice)

So yeah. Blasts from the past are weird.

Couldn't find the "Ridiculous Tributes" thread, but it's a little weird, so this spot will do.

Saw a slightly sporty looking silver Mazda 3 today. On it's passenger door, carefully cut from black electical tape, was this sign "05 RIP" (05 was Brockies racing number).

I shared a similar problem with my hound... the only release mechanism I could come up with was to use 2 balls.... confused the crap out of the poor beast

I read this without reading which quote you were responding to, and assumed it was GC's post about her bisexual friend. I thus found this post initially rather alarming.

things that are weird;

strangers who tell you intimate details of their lives.
i work at subway part-time and in the last month alone i have been told the following while i'm making a sandwich for a customer.

-my wife just left me for our accountant
-details of ones struggle with his mothers alzheimers
-the score a mans son scored in his learners test
-unwanted details regarding numerous peoples sex lives.

i understand idle chatter, but having to interject into these stories with queries like 'would you like salt and pepper?' is rather uncomfortable.
