Private message limit to be imposed (40)

Hi everyone,

Firstly – sorry if you aren't a forum user, this won't affect you. I suggest logging in and switching off notification of messages.

Private messages are currently unlimited. Some people have hundreds. That's pretty much a waste of disk space, and makes the forum run slower than it needs to be.

So I've decided to impose a limit of 40. Please delete all the PMs you don't need lest the ones you wanted to save be purged.

I will apply the limit in a week, on 22 July.

great idea.

i reckon you could go even lower really. it's not like they're soviet secrets that need to be kept or anything. and if people really need to keep them, they can cut and paste.

Following Dom's announcement, I regret to advise that the following actions need to be taken by all the ladies on the chaser site:

1) Please limit yourself to one love letter per week to me via PM.
2) Nate - please cease sending me love letters all together as well.

I understand this may cause angst with many of you, however my ability to clear them constantly is now being limited. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

So I still send my 5 daily? I like to think me professing my love to you is like praying to Allan (shit, Allah), in that I have to do it 5 times a day :)

Yeah, 40 all up.  Who reads old messages anyway? And if they're that special.  Like Lenina/Fadey emoticons or something, then archive them on DVD...
